I am in the EU. If you want an automatic transmission here you usually have to go with a CVT and if you want more than say 67HP you have to go with a turbo charger, all due to CO2 regulations. So we are basically scewed xD

I will never buy an Asian car i am a North American patriot and not a traitor some do not see it like that but I do. I have a car that beats all these Toyotas and Hondas. Americans made them with pride and no communist-loving creep made them. The Lincoln Town car or Grand Marquis or LTD or Crown Vic or any Chrysler with a 440 or 318 or 225 slant 6 and the torque flight transmission all will last longer than any of these. After my dad came back from World War 2 he could not believe that Americans would buy from the enemy which is not the case today we are not at war with Asia but I could see his point at the time plus people from any country should buy whatever your country makes to help support it. I know American cars were shit in the mid to late 70s to early 80s but my pops never turned his back on the country that gave him so much and he never had any issues with any of his Mopars or Lincolns he passed 10 years ago and I still proudly drive his big 1979 Lincoln Town car with button tufted leather seats she still rides nicer than any car today. She is a thing of beauty like a big majestic animal hunting Toyotas at night lol. A few years ago a Nissan truck rear-ended me and the misses at a red light we were stopped at she felt a slight bump I did not even notice we got out and the guy's front wheels were pushed all the way in and crushed under the bumpers lol we had a minor scratch and no visible damage. She is Asian lol and she said from that point on that we will never sell the big girl and she feels safe in it and was instantly converted from an Asian-loving small car girl to a proud flag-waving American big iron car girl! If everyone in America bought only American-made cars and realized they are just as reliable and some are more reliable than Asian cars it might have been true once but today all cars are about the same so may as well support your country!! The people in Asia buy the cars they make and I am sure they're not like Americans and buy tons of our cars why then should we build their economy up? If Canada and America had more patriots we would not be in the situation we are in now and we would not be in a position of becoming a minority in the countries we built and fought and died for! No Asian country would allow that to happen to them and I respect them for loving their culture enough to protect and preserve it we could learn something from them!!

I can't believe that anyone. would buy Alfa Romeo or Dodge Hornet Hybrid. you crazy if ever consider any of these junk companies vehicles. the Hornet AWD system. failed at a review test drive. and that was a brand new Vehicle with AWD system that is failed just after few miles of testing. imagine after 6 years of driving where that Vehivle will be. the same gose for the Jeep brand i heared a lot of storise about how the dealer is like as soon you bought the Vehicle when your'e back with issuse you get tread it bad. EV technology is not ready. in my opinion still needs at least another 10 t0 20 more years to be almost dependable. Tesla is just over priced poring looking Vehicle all is the same. the German brand need to face massive boycott until they fix their reliability and the way they make failure Vehicles that comes at the expense of their customers to keep them running.

HR-V multi-port fuel injection for the win. Simple. No carbon build up. Toyota is more complex, but once again, no carbon build up. HR-V is just simple. If going Subaru base 2.0 engine avoids possible woes of the 2.5 TCV cooling system, and the car is built in Japan.

This video never addressed the issue of thermal runaway. If the battery decides to catch fire it's almost impossible to extinguish it. The battery can can catch fire without any real reason. Also EVs are basically not worth fixing if the battery goes bad. Insurance is high because even a minor accident can total the car. If you tweak the battery at all the car is toast and most body shops can't fix them. Parts availability is a huge problem. If the car needs repair you can have it sit at the service center for weeks. I'm not convinced that these vehicles are really all that "green" considering that the batteries take expensive metals to mine and most electrical grids people are plugging into are still powered by fossil fuels. Dealers don't really want used EVs back because there is no real reliable way to assess the health of the battery. The resale value for used EVs is not good as battery replacement costs more than the car is worth

Remember, not long ago, that $35K+ was a Luxury car.

I've been researching and shopping for a 2024 KIA Niro PHEV and after a few hours at my 3rd dealership, drove home in a showroom displayed Niro EV Wave loaded (didn't pay for the add-ons) and as a leased EV, paying less per month than my last leased vehicle (2022 Hyundai Kona Limited). Plus, my State has a rebate program for both the home Level 2 charger AND professional installation of it. I also received both the full federal tax credit AND no state sales tax! Since most buyers are going for the hybrids, dealers will make a better deal with the lonely EV that nobody wants.
